Icons of Adams County Design Contest

Logo Design Contest for the Adams County Bicentennial

Calling all high school artists and designers! The Adams County Bicentennial celebration is underway and we need your creative talents to design an iconic logo that represents our community.

Contest Details:

Who can enter:
The contest is open to all 9th – 12th grade high school students in Adams County. Adams County includes the following townships: Beverly, Burton, Camp Point, Clayton, Columbus, Concord, Ellington, Fall Creek, Gilmer, Honey Creek, Houston, Keene, Liberty, Lima, McKee, Melrose, Mendon, Northeast, Payson, Quincy, Richfield, Riverside, and Ursa.

Theme:
Your logo should reflect the spirit, history, and future of Adams County. This is a chance to creatively capture what makes Adams County unique and special as we celebrate two centuries of community and culture. Icons of Adams County can include, but are not limited to, landmarks, people, commodities, folklore, and more.

Submission Guidelines:

  • Design Elements:
    • The logo should be bold, clear, and scalable (works well both large and small).
    • Use colors, shapes, and symbols that represent Adams County’s history, present, or future.
    • The design must be original and created by the submitter.
    • Keep it simple! The logo should be easily recognizable and versatile for various uses, including merchandise, promotional materials, and digital platforms.
  • Format:
    • Submit your design in a high-resolution digital format (JPG, PNG, or PDF).
    • Ensure your design is no larger than 5 MB in size.
    • Please include a short description (100 words max) explaining the inspiration behind your design.
  • Deadline:
    All entries must be submitted by August 1, 2025.
  • How to Submit Your Design:
    • Email your logo submission to Elizabeth Swick at [email protected], subject line: Icons of Adams County Bicentennial Logo Submission.

    Include your name, grade, school, and a brief description of your design in the email.

Design Exhibit

The Art Center will host an exhibit featuring the entries from the design contest beginning August 20, 2025.
